2002 TV on the Radio self-release OK Calculator. Discs are left in cafes, subways, stores etc...until the CD burner breaks.

2003 Young Liars EP released on Touch & Go Records, turning a tide of a horrible year, where Iraq is invaded and Mel Gibson wins a “People’s Choice Award.”

2004 The band release their first full-length, Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes. Wins the prestigious Shortlist Music Prize. Later that year TV on the Radio released a second EP, New Health Rock.

2006 Their second studio album, Return to Cookie Mountain, hits the fan. Along with having the best title ever, the record was deemed “the most oddly beautiful, psychedelic and ambitious [album] of the year,” by Rolling Stone. David Bowie joins in on vocals for “Province.”

2008 Dear Science took us to a celebration on the edge of the abyss, and was voted #1 by fans in Pitchfork Media’s Reader’s Poll and by more than 800 critics making up the Village Voice’s Pazz and Jop poll. To continue name-dropping accolades, Dear Science was also named best album of 2008 by Rolling Stone, The Guardian, Spin Magazine, The New York Times, The Onion AV Club, MTV, even Entertainment Weekly. An embarrassment of riches, really.

2008 Guitarist David Sitek was named Number One in NME’s Future 50 list of “The Most Forward Thinking People in Music Today. “

2009 The band plays Saturday Night Live, with host/actor Bradley Cooper. They performed “Dancing Choose” and “Golden Age.”

2009 The band also visit with Stephen Colbert on The Colbert Report. Stephen Colbert is hot. Guitarist-vocalist Kyp Malone is hotter, as Colbert strokes and ordains his lavish beard dubbed “a vacation in a faraway forest.”

2009 Guitarist Kyp's solo album is released on ANTI under the name Rain Machine.

2009 TV On The Radio headline Prospect Park, Brooklyn, Bandshell. Multi instrumentalist Jaleel Bunton’s extended family takes over entire backstage guest list, amusing onlookers.

2010 David releases solo record, Maximum Balloon, on Interscope.

2011 Springtime brings their fifth studio album, Nine Types of Light. The cherubs at Rolling Stone called it, “pure heaven.”

2011 The band creates an accompanying film to go with the album, an hour-long visual companion that offers music videos for all of Nine Types of Light’s tracks. Tunde directs the film, and is also featured therein sporting a moving and stunning Purple Rain ensemble.

2011 The band takes over the legendary stage at Radio City Music Hall. A celebatory year, as The West Memphis Three are released from prison and British tabloid News of the World publishes its last edition after 168 years in the wake of a phone hacking scandal.

2011 TV On The Radio headline Spin’s SXSW Stubb’s show, get accosted by Yo Gabba Gabba’s Muno and DJ Lance Rock.

2012 TV On The Radio are nominated for a Grammy in the Best Long Format Music Video category with Nine Types Of Light.

2013 The band releases two tracks, “Mercy” and “Million Miles.” Both songs are released through Sitek’s Federal Prism label. The band also makes the multitracks from “Mercy” available to fans so they can make their own remixes.

2013 Lead vocalist Tunde’s Higgins Waterproof Black Magic Band collaborates with Massive Attack’s 3D for a limited vinyl release.

2014 TV on the Radio reinvent the wheel again with their album, Seeds, which the world devours with sprinkles on top.
